DefinitionCoating is applying a bonding layer of an amorphous substance onto the surface of a work piece. It can be a single layer or several coherent layers. The methods of coating differ in the method of putting on the layers, i.e. chemical, mechanical, thermal and thermo-mechanical. Coating is a main group of manufacturing processes according to DIN 8580 and stands for various manufacturing processes in which a coating material is applied onto a work piece or base material and forms a bonded, adherent layer. It can either be a thin or a thick layer. That distinction is not exactly defined and orients itself towards the method of coating and the purpose of application. Besides the explanations above, coating is also referred to as the roughening and polishing of a work piece so that the physical properties of its surface, e.g. adhesion and reflectivity, can be influenced. Wet-Varnishing - Duplex TreatmentDUPLEX - treatment is the wet-varnishing after coating with zinc for an optical effect according to customers needs. It provides a second protection from corrosion and is possible in every RAL color. The only prerequisite is an excellent finish.
Wet-Varnishing on Black SteelIn the field of steel construction often only wet-varnishing is required because most parts that we manufacture are used indoors or are bigger parts that do not fit into the zinc bath. We specialize in transportation stillages as well as industry rails.
Powder-Coating on Zinc-Plated PartsFor this, an excellent finish after zinc-coating is necessary, which we have practiced for years and offer to every customer. We can submit an offer to you in which we will have to cooperate but solve all logistical problems for you. Examples can be found in the cross reference listing.
